This year has been a difficult one for many charity events that were driven by in-person donations. However, the Virtual Shindig has managed to help fill in the gap! Our September and October events generated a total of $5,070 in contributions for Equality Now!
The Virtual Shindig was originally created to help bring CSTS events to those Browncoats who lived in areas where there was not an in-person activity happening. Since the 2020 pandemic started, it has stepped in to help fundraise in an online world. The Virtual Shindig events are co-hosted by the Utah Browncoat Society, the California Browncoats and the global Can't Stop the Serenity organization.

Raised $2,220 for Equality Now!
Writer Cheryl Cain, author of 'War Stories' was featured as our special guest to watch 'War Stories' with us *before* our #CSTS2020 Charity Auction. All proceeds raised go to our amazing charity, Equality Now. We lead with introductions and updates about CSTS and the #Browncoat fandom. Then we watched 'War Stories' and had a Q & A with writer Cheryl Cain, followed by the charity auction with rare and shiny Firefly and Serenity collectibles! Co-hosted by the big damn California Browncoats and the mighty Utah Browncoats!
