Calling all Big Damn Heroes!
Come on out and be a Big Damn Hero for our 2018 charities - Equality Now and the Volunteers of America - Utah's Home 4 Teens!
Since some you may not know what all the fuss is about with the upcoming Can't Stop the Serenity event, we wanted to give a little bit of background information on why we do it and how you help make the world a better place by participating.
Every year, Browncoat groups worldwide take part in a global event called Can't Stop the Serenity, where we show the film "Serenity" and raise money for specific groups. All groups are required to give 75% of the funds raised to the international aid organization Equality Now. Equality Now works tirelessly to remove legal discrimination against women. By forging partnerships in countries around the world, they (and you) have been able to help effect some amazing changes.
Additionally, each group is allowed to donate the remaining 25% to a charity of their choosing. This year, as in 2016, our choice is the VOA's Youth Resource Center, where our name is on the donor wall.
We do these Good Works because you come out, support, donate, and help the Browncoats be a force for greatness in the world. Thank you!
